Operation Christmas Child

During the month of September the Women on Mission are collecting games, puzzles and coloring books that will fit in the shoeboxes.  Thanks so much for your support. The tub is located at the  information desk.

Golden Offering

The Golden Offering for Tennessee Missions is the annual state  missions offering that  provides invaluable financial support for   ministries that help reach  Tennesseans for Christ.  This offering will be  emphasized    during the month of September.  Offering   envelopes will be available at the  Information Desk or mark your check for TN State  Missions.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

If you would like to learn to crochet or knit, the Prayer Shawl Ministry Ladies will meet each Thursday in the library at 1:30 pm for an hour long class.  No materials required for instruction.  We will provide needles and scrap yarn for you to learn your  technique.  If you need help with a project you are working on, we will be glad to help you.

Wednesday Night Activities

ADULTS: Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense  by N.T. Wright will be the basis for the Wednesday night study this fall in the      chapel.  This study will explore our common longing for God, the central beliefs of              Christianity, and what it looks like in practice to follow Jesus.   (Purchase of the book by N.T. Wright is not required.)

September's CCF

Join us for a night of fun, laughter, snacks  and random facts of useless knowledge! Teams (up to eight people) must include someone born before the year 1970 and someone after the year 2010 to be  eligible  for prizes.  Sign up  - space   is    limited   for   Friday,   September 27th at    6:00 pm!

Family Discipleship Retreat

November 15 - November 17

Carson Springs Baptist Conference Center,

Newport, TN

Go to holstonba.org/retreat for more information.  This will also take you to the link for registration. If anyone would like to help sponsor a family to attend this retreat, you may make your check out to Trinity and designate your check for HBA Family Retreat.  The total cost is $350 for a family of 5, but you may sponsor for any amount.

The HBA has announced that the retreat cost for a family of 5 is $300 if you register through the end of September. The price increases $50.00 October 1st. Registration closes after October 31st.  If  any family is interested in the available scholarships, please contact Amy Herington.

Meals Ministry

The Meals Ministry needs for Saturday,  September 28th are green beans, tossed salad and cookies. Please sign  up for one of the above items on the “What’s Happening” board in the  downstairs  lobby, and prepare 14 servings.  Bring your food on Saturday, September 28th.
