The Church Office will be closed tomorrow (November 12) in observance of Veterans Day.

Practices for Upward Basketball and Cheerleading begin the week of December 3. Once the teams have been determined, the coaches will contact you with your child’s practice day and time. Games begin on Saturday, January 5. (Late registration continues through December 7 at $70/child.)

Sign up in the downstairs lobby or contact Michael Bates if you are willing to coach Upward Basketball or Cheerleading. The next training for coaches is on Thursday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. in room W-207 (the Student Room).

Be sure to return your Operation Christmas Child boxes by noon on Monday, November 19 at the latest! Empty boxes and directions are available in the downstairs lobby. This is a wonderful outreach to children throughout the world in the name of Christ.

The JAMA Christmas Celebration will be on Wednesday, November 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Worship Center. As we kick off the Christmas season, several area choirs will be performing in celebration of Christ’s birth. This annual program benefits the Jonesborough Area Ministerial Association whose mission is to provide food for our neighbors in need. Please bring non-perishable foods for their food pantry. A love offering will also be collected for JAMA.

Christmas at Trinity— Mark your December calendars: Trinity’s adult choir will present Christmas Is Coming at 4:00 on Sunday, December 2. The children’s Christmas program will be at 6:00 on Sunday, the 9th, and our annual Christmas dinner will be at 5:00 on Sunday, December 16. There will be no evening activities on December 23 or 30, nor on Wednesday, the 26th.

The 39th Annual Veterans Musical will be conducted TODAY (November 11) at 2:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Jonesborough Visitors Center. The musical guests will be the Appalachian Express Chorus.

Kerri Baxter will be playing in Mary Poppins at the Gregory Center on the Milligan College Campus. The dates are November 9-11 and 16-18. Tickets are $20 regardless of age. Go to to reserve your tickets.

The Jonesborough Senior Center has begun a program called MyRide—Jonesborough. The goal is to improve the quality of life for older adults by providing courteous and safe door-through-door volunteer transportation to those eligible for service. They are looking for volunteer drivers. For information on driver or rider eligibility, contact Susan Katko at 788-4770.

Please continue to keep Emma, Mark, Jodie, Samuel, Sue Ellen, & Gabe in prayer.
