Bulletin Announcements for the Week of December 24, 2017

Posted by Elizabeth Shaver on

Merry Christmas!

Trinity’s Candlelight Communion Service will be at 5:00 TONIGHT (December 24).

Since we are having Family Worship today, we’ll have Children’s Worship on December 31.

There will be no evening activities at the church on Wednesday, December 27 or on New Year’s Eve.

Viral Bible Reading Trinity In 2018 we will be offering a unique discipleship opportunity. Starting next week, Community Bible Reading Journals will be available for purchase. Each day participants will use the journal to read a selected passage of Scripture and prayerfully consider  how to apply it to their lives. They will be encouraged to share one insight from their reading with other TBC readers who will be reading the same passage. It's not a strict plan, so if you miss a day, no big deal! Be on the lookout for more information.

Prayerfully consider how much you would like to contribute to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for international missions. This annual offering will be collected through the month of December. Church goal: $14,000.

Upward needs people who would be willing to give a 5 minute devotion   during the basketball games at Trinity. Six volunteers are needed each Saturday in January and February, making a total of 48. Sign-up sheets are available in the downstairs lobby, or you can call Ward Hilemon at 423-677- 1394.

The next Meals Ministry is on Saturday, DECEMBER 30. Sign up on the “What’s Happening?” bulletin board in the downstairs lobby if you are able to bring coleslaw, peaches, or cake (14 servings). Please bring your items to the Worship Center by 9:00 a.m. Drivers need to arrive by 9:30.

Enrollment for the Trinity Church Choir will open at the start of 2018. The first rehearsal after Christmas is January 7. Come lead the congregation in worship each Sunday. See Tony Bowman for more information.

Please continue to keep Emma, Mark, Jodie, Sue Ellen, & Samuel in prayer.

Inclement Weather: You can find out if a service or activity at the church has been altered due to weather by going to the Trinity Facebook page (Trinity Baptist Church-Jonesborough TN), website (trinity3e.org), or by calling the church office. If you are on the prayer chain, you will also receive an e-mail announcing the schedule change.
